Speedometer app features: speed and units

The Speed tab is the heart of the app: a large live reading from GPS with a choice of MPH or KM/H. Pick the analog dial if you like a needle, or the digital meter if you want big numbers you can read at a glance from a dashboard mount.

Trips, distance and history

Tap Start and the trip meter begins counting duration, distance, average speed and max speed on the Current Trip card. The odometer adds up distance across trips, and trip history keeps finished journeys so you can look back later.

HUD, map and compass

HUD mode flips the display so it reads correctly when reflected in a windshield, which works best at night. The map tab uses Mapbox to show your current location, and the compass tab shows your heading.

Looks and Premium

Several themes change the colours and style of the meter. Some, such as Racing, are marked Premium. The app is free with ads; Premium is an optional upgrade. See pricing for what we can confirm today.
